Introduction to Defensive Pistol
This is class 1 of 4 in our Defensive Pistol Series!
This first part in the defensive series will establish a foundation for furthering classes. The purpose of this period of instruction will be to step away from square bay target shooting to carrying your pistol in a defensive situation. Items to be covered will include safety rules and how they apply in a defensive situation, Colonel Jeff Cooper’s color code for situational awareness, developing a personal defensive plan, drawing a pistol from the holster, proper grip and different stances. Training will be conducted in target alignment, tactical reloads thru the use of dry practice and muscle memory drills.
There will be a qualification shoot to advance to the next class.
Handgun miimum caliber .380
100 rounds of ammunition – Ammo must be purchased at the range
Hearing and Eye Protection – If you dont have your own they will be available for rental at the range
Outside the waistband (OWB) Holster strong side, Kydex, made for the gun you are using.
NO Blackhawk Serpa holsters( requires you to press a button to release the gun)
NO Uncle Mikes Holsters
Sturdy Belt (that is the same width as holster attachment)
Mag pouches and minimum of 3 mags
You will be issued a USCCA Class Certificate upon completition.
