Course Overview:

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals are based on empirical data from numerous body cams, dash cams, and surveillance videos. Level 1 trains both your mind and body to react efficiently and realistically during a Dynamic Critical Incident, ensuring you are prepared for any situation.

  • Intuitive Defensive Shooting: Build a solid foundation to understand intuitive defensive shooting and make critical decisions regarding the use of deadly force.
  • Warrior Expert Theory: Unlock the lifesaving mindset of the warrior expert theory, enabling you to anticipate an attacker’s next move with ease.
  • On-Demand Skills Application: Develop the ability to apply your shooting skills on demand, without anticipation, to protect yourself and others.
  • Hands-On Live-Fire Drills: Learn essential live-fire drills that prepare you to prevail even in the most dangerous circumstances.


  • Firearm: Semi-automatic pistol (no revolvers).
  • Pre-Class Requirement: Completion of the online eLearning course is required 7 days prior to class. Bring the completion certificate to the course.

  • Holster: A good quality on-body, strong-side holster (no SERPA or Uncle Mike’s holsters).
  • Magazines: Three or four magazines.

  • Ammunition: At least 300 rounds of target ammunition (must be purchased at the range).
  • Protection: Hearing and eye protection.
  • Note-Taking Materials: Pen and paper.
  • Provisions: Snacks and drinks to keep you energized throughout the training.

  • Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is an in-depth course designed for individuals contemplating firearm ownership or carrying a firearm for self-defense. This comprehensive guide covers essential topics such as conflict avoidance and situational awareness, home security and defense strategies, shooting basics, the physiological effects of violent encounters, the legalities surrounding the use of deadly force (including post-incident procedures), and detailed information on equipment, accessories, and continued training.


  • The Legal Use of Force is a concise course concentrating on the legal aspects of using force as a civilian. Over 55 minutes, the instructor will guide students through various laws, regulations, scenarios, and potential outcomes related to the use of force. In this lesson, The instructor will get into critical legal topics, including the laws governing the use of force both inside and outside the home. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge through several real-world scenarios, putting yourself in the actor’s role to test your understanding.


  • Violent Encounters and the Aftermath is a 55-minute classroom course focused on handling violent scenarios and their aftermath. The instructor will cover the legal aspects of violent encounters and effective management strategies. This lesson details the physical and mental reactions that may occur under extreme stress, such as during an incident involving deadly force. It also provides guidance on immediate actions to take after using force in self-defense. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of proper conduct when law enforcement arrives and how to prepare for the consequences, even if you acted lawfully.


  • Traumatic Emergencies is a one-hour classroom course designed to equip civilians with the skills to assess and handle various traumatic situations. The course covers the assessment and treatment of severe traumatic injuries resulting from incidents such as serious falls, automobile accidents, shootings, or stabbings. In this lesson, you will learn how to manage several types of trauma emergencies, including severe bleeding, penetrating chest injuries, flail chest, severe burns, musculoskeletal trauma (injuries to bones, muscles, ligaments, or tendons), and head and eye trauma.


  • Medical Emergencies is a one-hour classroom course designed to prepare civilians for a variety of medical emergencies, including gunshot wounds and other bodily injuries. Imagine you’re getting ready for a hunting trip or a visit to the local gun range. If asked, ‘What’s the most likely emergency situation you might have to deal with?’ you might think of a gunshot wound. However, in the United States, you are 1,110 times more likely to encounter a stroke, 500 times more likely to face cardiac arrest, and tens of thousands of times more likely to handle a diabetic emergency than a gunshot injury. While it’s crucial to know how to manage a gunshot wound (as covered in Lesson Two), this lesson will address the more common medical emergencies, including strokes, cardiac arrests, diabetic emergencies, and many others.
